House Armed Services Committee Chair Buck McKeon (R-CA) talked about Defense Department cuts as part of the effort to address the U.S. debt. He had been trying to keep the cuts from going deeper than the $350 billion that the Obama administration and Congress agreed to during the preceding summer. He discussed other military issues as well.
