The Task Force for International Religious Freedom held a briefing for congressional staff on religious liberties in China and the impact of preparations for the 2008 Olympic Games on religious freedom in China. Among the topics they addressed were recent crackdowns on protests in Tibet, oppression of Chinese Christians, and the suppression of Islamic movements in the Western parts of China. They answered questions from the audience.
